Garage du moulin

STORY

GDM Racing : passion in competition.

GDM Racing was born from the addition of several skills from the same family.

It all began in 1973, when Yvon Olivier created the GARAGE DU MOULIN with his wife Mireille, as a FORD agent.

In 1986, Yves Olivier joined the garage at the age of 18. Passionate about motor sports, he has a special attachment to BMW and more particularly to the Motorsport range.

In 2001, Yves took over the garage and used his experience and skills to expand it. The mechanical workshop was extended, a body shop/painting shop was opened and a showroom for the sale of new and used vehicles was added. The number of employees increased from 6 to 18.

In 2002, his brother Franck Olivier joined the family business to manage the sales side.

At the same time, Yves’ son, Olivier Cédric, was doing his apprenticeship, on the one hand, in the design offices for technical culture, and on the other hand, in a Porsche stable for modern and historic races.

He is responsible for the preparation, restoration and tuning of historic Porsches such as the 906, 908, 910, 2.8 RSR, 3.0 RSR, 935, 962, 917, …., in order to ensure their assistance in VHC races such as: Le Tour Auto, l’Age d’Or, Classic Endurance Racing, Le Mans Classic.

He also provides assistance on modern Porsche, 997 Cup, 997 GT3 R, GT3 RSR, during European championships such as: VdeV, ELMS, 24h series,…

In 2015, Cedric joined his father and the association was logical and complete. Thus, they create a competition pole within the GARAGE DU MOULIN.

GDM Racing was born in 2017. It was natural for Yves to pass on his experience and know-how to his son, who in turn could bring his racing culture.

In 2019, Cyril, Cedric’s uncle, and Arthur, his half-brother, join the ranks, both bringing their expertise. Cyril develops the event/communication part and Arthur brings his experience in general mechanics, as a machinist/turner for the modification and/or the manufacturing of parts, essential in preparation as well as in restoration.

In 2020, GDM Racing

buys a Lamera Cup in order to participate in the European Endurance Lamera Cup Championship the following year.

As you can see, the story has just begun…
